Access Point appointed as commercialisation agent
Bristol's Clifton Down Shopping Centre has appointed Southport-based Access Point as its exclusive commercialisation agent.
Responsible for maximising space at Clifton Down and attracting traders that will resonate with visitors to the Bristol destination, Access Point’s signing supports Clifton Down’s momentum in securing brands that are driving footfall and seeing it buck the national trend of a general decline in retail.
Known as a community-focused centre with an eco-friendly footprint, Clifton Down has enjoyed the success of its Refreshingly Local campaign, launched in 2017 in a bid to encourage more people to shop locally. In 2018 it reported a consistent rise in footfall against an average national decline.
On the contract win, David Robertshaw, Access Point CEO, said: “We are delighted to be associated with Clifton Down. The centre has been doing fantastic work in bucking retail trends and increasing footfall when other centres have struggled. We will be looking to bring the right brands and activities to Clifton Down to further build on that success.”
